NETGAIN FOOTPRINT EXPANDS WITH CHICAGO ACQUISITION
Local technology company hires 16 and adds Chicago Operations Office
ST. CLOUD, MN | June 1, 2013 – Netgain Technology, Inc announced today its acquisition of Technology MD, a division of Healthcare Information Services, LLC (HIS) in Park Ridge, IL.
While HIS provides medical billing services to their clients, their subsidiary, Technology MD, provides hosting, data center and networking services, which were not core to the HIS mission. To focus on their fundamental service offerings, HIS decided to exit the IT Services portion of their business, and found a partner in Netgain, an industry-leading healthcare hosting provider headquartered in St. Cloud, MN.

Netgain will transition many Technology MD clients to their hosted environment. The largest client, Illinois Bone and Joint (IBJI), will be a signature account for Netgain with more than 90 physicians and 20 locations throughout the Greater Chicago area.

With the acquisition, Netgain, a national healthcare information technology provider, will be deepening their penetration, focus and employee-base in the Illinois marketplace. In addition to the many clients they’ll be adding to their environment, Netgain will also be bringing on 16 employees from the acquisition. Those employees will remain in Chicago and be the base of Netgain’s Chicago Operations Office.
