Continued commitment to strategic, collaborative partnership with clients fuels success for company’s CPA business
St. Cloud, MN – Feb 1, 2022 – Netgain Technology LLC, a cloud solutions provider focused on serving accounting firms and healthcare organizations, today announced the promotion of Kate Krupey to vice president of the company’s CPA business. Formerly the organization’s director of CPA solutions, Krupey in her new role will use her deep insight into CPA firm needs and operations to further extend Netgain’s value to the profession, strengthen the overall client experience, and grow the Netgain brand within the CPA market.
Over the past decade, IT’s role within CPA firms has evolved dramatically. Today’s IT leaders are tasked with balancing a changing IT landscape (driven in part by application expansion and security threat evolution) with strategic demands around innovation and efficiency. Despite continued investments in IT, this expanded set of responsibilities has outpaced the ability of many IT teams to support it.
Netgain alleviates this pressure by providing CPA firms with both a technology foundation suitable for today’s operational demands and a platform that can support firm innovation and expansion. Built on the strength and flexibility of Microsoft Azure, Netgain’s CPA solution clusters around four core areas:
- The Modern Workplace – Maintaining familiarity and performance while supporting evolving workplace structures such as remote and hybrid work
- Security by Design – Active consideration of security concerns and risk mitigation as part of both architecture and day-to-day activities
- Managing Daily IT Services – Application, network, systems, and cloud specialists that are experts in their fields to ensure a superior experience
- Ensuring Operational Excellence – Collaborative coordination around firm strategy and goals to strengthen IT’s value to the firm
“With Netgain we feel like we have a business partner, not just a technology provider,” said Gabe Grzeskiewicz, chief information officer at PorteBrown. “Their solution never leaves us boxed in. They listen to what our business plans are and work alongside our team to continually improve our operations.”
Jerry Favre, partner at Alexander, Van Loon, Sloan, Levens & Favre, PLLC CPA, agreed, “We have always tried to have our firm a step ahead when it came to technology. Since partnering with Netgain we have seen a huge improvement in reliability and uptime. I can concentrate more on client needs and on growing the firm.”
Under Krupey’s leadership, Netgain will further expand its commitment to strategic partnership through consultation, new and expanded service offerings, and elevated client service. In her time with Netgain, Krupey has been an invaluable resource to Netgain’s clients, drawing upon her 12 years of experience accelerating meaningful transformation in the CPA profession to provide guidance and recommendations on both practical and strategic IT matters. Under her direction, Netgain has streamlined and improved its client experience model using a proactive, cross-functional approach designed to produce faster outcomes and greater consistency in client experience.
“Long before Kate joined Netgain, she’d earned the respect and admiration of countless IT and business leaders from dozens of CPA firms like ours,” said Mark Barstow, director of IT at Perkins & Co. “From her deep accounting firm CIO experience, Kate knows exactly what we need from Netgain. With her natural problem solving and leadership talents she can make it happen.”
Prior to joining Netgain, Krupey worked with dozens of CPA firms on transformation initiatives centered on change management, process improvement, and solution development. The former CIO of Maryland-based KatzAbosch, Krupey has a proven track record for driving the adoption of change in CPA firms, positively impacting efficiency, revenue, and culture.
“In her time at Netgain, Kate has consistently impressed me with her industry acumen, devotion to strengthening the client experience, and ability to provide invaluable strategic support to our clients – all values that are key and core to Netgain’s ethos as a company,” said Sumeet Sabharwal, CEO of Netgain Technology LLC. “I cannot be more thrilled to welcome her formally to this role and to support her as she defines her vision for our cloud-based CPA solutions.”
Krupey graduated from Drexel University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a concentration in Information Systems. She holds MCSE and PMP certifications and has been trained in Lean Six Sigma methodologies for the CPA vertical.
